Powered by Great Northern Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services, Lockdown Academy is a structured basketball performance pathway that guides athletes from grassroots participation all the way to elite and international competition.

Many of our athletes compete in the Darwin Basketball Competitions with Eagles Basketball Club, playing under the 'Eagles Elevate'. Through this partnership — along with representative tours and global exposure opportunities — we provide holistic development for each athlete, both on and off the court.

Players move through clearly defined stages: beginning in local competitions, progressing to high-level AAU circuits, and ultimately competing in the USA — gaining invaluable experience at every step.

Lockdown Academy offers two key development streams:

In-House Club Program – for athletes competing exclusively with Lockdown Academy teams.
External Academy Stream – for athletes attending our weekly academy sessions and selected for elite touring opportunities.

Rising Star (Ages 9 - 13)

The launchpad for emerging young athletes.

Club

Lockdown Academy athletes compete in the Darwin Basketball Competitions under the Eagles Basketball Club banner — gaining valuable experience, game exposure, and a true club culture as part of their development journey.

2026 Tour Pathway

Our 2026 Tour Pathway is designed to offer meaningful opportunities for both development and elite athletes, spanning U10 to U21 for both boys and girls.

Through this program, Lockdown Academy athletes—via the Eagles Basketball Club, whose teams we manage under ‘Eagles Elevate’—will travel and compete alongside their regular teammates. This consistency helps strengthen team chemistry while supporting both individual and collective growth in a competitive environment.

Additionally, athletes in our external program are invited to join selected tours, where they’ll have the chance to play alongside both club and external players. This inclusive approach fosters development, builds connections, and offers access to high-level competition for all participants.

Throughout the year, teams will travel across Australia, gaining valuable experience, testing themselves against quality opponents, and advancing their basketball journey.

Professional Team

Your Great Northern Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services Lockdown Academy Professional Team travels across Australia during the preseason to compete against top-tier Big V and NBL1 teams.

This initiative not only provides a valuable pathway for our junior athletes but also offers exposure and professional opportunities for local talent and international imports looking to secure contracts in leagues throughout Australia.

PARTNERSHIP WITH NCC & TBP

Our partnership with Northside Combat Conditioning allows us to utilise their state-of-the-art gym seven days a week at designated times. This gives our athletes the opportunity to prepare their bodies and ensure they are ready to perform.

Through our partnership with The Bar Performance, our athletes benefit from programming developed by Adelaide Lightning’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Brandon Lee, helping them perform at their peak.
