Powered by Great Northern Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services, Lockdown Academy is where basketball dreams are built, sharpened, and taken to the next level.
This is more than a program — it’s a full performance pathway taking athletes from grassroots beginnings all the way to elite and international competition.
Many of our athletes compete in the Darwin Basketball League with the Eagles Basketball Club under “Eagles Elevate”, stepping into a competitive environment designed to challenge and develop real game-ready athletes. Through this partnership, plus representative tours and global exposure opportunities, athletes gain experiences that go far beyond the court.
Every player follows a clear progression — starting in our development programs and local competitions, then advancing into representative and national squads as they grow, compete, and prove themselves at every stage.

Development Programs
Take your game to the next level with our development programs, designed for dedicated young athletes ready to improve, compete, and grow. This comprehensive training experience focuses on skill development, physical performance, and confidence-building in a structured, high-energy environment.

Representative Program
Our representative teams travel throughout Australia to compete in high-level tournaments, demonstrating their talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
These opportunities allow athletes to test themselves against some of the best players and teams in the country, gaining valuable experience in highly competitive environments.
National Team Program
Our National Team is proudly represented by three squads: Freshman, Opens Reserves, and Opens.
As our premier pathway, this program provides athletes with the opportunity to travel throughout the year, competing at the highest level against representative and school teams across Australia.
Our Opens squad further extends this experience internationally, competing against elite teams from around the globe.
U23 Program (COMING SOON)
The U23 Program bridges the gap between our junior and semi-professional pathways, providing athletes with a clear transition into higher levels of competition.
This program not only focuses on basketball development and performance but also supports athletes in balancing their sporting commitments with career and workforce opportunities.
Semi Pro Program
The Great Northern Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services Lockdown Academy Professional Team travels across Australia during the preseason to compete against top-tier Big V and NBL1 teams.
This program provides a valuable pathway for our junior athletes while also creating exposure and professional opportunities for local talent and international imports seeking contracts in leagues across Australia.

Who is the best in the Northern Territory?
PARTNERSHIP WITH NCC & TBP
Our partnership with Northside Combat Conditioning allows us to utilise their state-of-the-art gym seven days a week at designated times. This gives our athletes the opportunity to prepare their bodies and ensure they are ready to perform.
Through our partnership with The Bar Performance, our athletes benefit from programming developed by Adelaide Lightning’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Brandon Lee, helping them perform at their peak.
